Ramble

Well, I have nothing and a lot to write.
First Imma say that MET GALA this year was so chill. I liked a lot of what I saw. But Doja Cat meowing her interview might be the best thing ever.

There is a small (?) running convo regarding Black women dating down. If you are a Black women then you understand what I mean when I say, the he a good man, Savannahs is at it again. :insert major eye roll here: I am not going to say much more than date who you want and wants you and dont let this so called advice out here have you looking crazy.

Also. Two things can be true at once: people hired to do a thing well should do said thing well AND sometimes people hired to do a thing get shit pay. The latter isnt a reason to not do the thing well, because there is starting shit pay and then shit pay you can level up out of. Two different things. The former is an industry issue that needs to be corrected (i.e. paying cost of living wage), the latter is an experience thing (i.e. you qualify for relative shit now but can become the shit later).

Lastly, all love and support to the writers’ strike. I was young, uneducated on the matter, and fan-mad when this happened in 08, I get it now. Additionally, the way things are going now, this place is lucky it isn’t every industry shutting down until wages get live-able. All of this ish is made up. The idea that we cant make up something new is false and sad. But it’s cool. Change is inevitable.

To close: everything doesn’t have to be industry.
